All That Matters

We hosted our own blog at wblogan.net for many years. However, our reasons for doing so changed. When all but a few of our family not only fell out with, but became hostile to us over our convictions regarding God and his children, we lost interest in maintaining a blog for which the primary purpose was to keep them informed about us. We attempted on that blog to avoid expressing opinions which we knew offended those who differ with us.

Not so with this blog. Here we will speak our minds without respect for the consequences we know it will or may have on others. This is particularly true with regard to our earthly family.

So whomever you are, read no further if you want to be sure that you are not offended.

All anyone needs to know about us is that we are followers of a living, thinking Spirit whom we know as Jesus Christ, the son of God who came in the flesh. He was executed in the flesh for his claim to be like his Father, God, but he overcame death in the flesh. He is alive and well and has not changed in any way. He rules all of his Father’s creation so that he can share his point of view with all of the children of God who come after him. We are among those whom God has saved from thinking like the mere mortals we once believed we were.

The Jesus Christ whom we know was sent by his Father to earth in a mortal body like ours to make the truth about God and his children known to his children. The truth he reveals in this one man who was, who is, and who will always be the same spirit, is that all of God’s children are like their Father. Just like Jesus Christ, all of God’s children share their Father’s point of view; they all think like the one God, who is the creator and lord of all that exists.

We have a different point of view than we once had, a different point of view than the world has, and the same point of view which God and all of his true children share in common.

The Jesus Christ whom we know and follow is not the Jesus Christ of the conservative, evangelical protestant tradition in which we were indoctrinated from our youth. Though in the first decade of our lives we became believers and were baptized in the name of that psuedo, anti-Christ, we have since been saved by God through a new faith in the living Christ whom we now follow. By our former faith we merely confirmed that we were unbelievers. By his kindness and the Spirit he has given us God made us believers in and of The Truth, and gave us a place among all to whom he has given and is giving his mind. In this way we have been and are being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ, who is the exact representation of our Father.

Our interest is in getting along with the God who came before us, not in getting along with those who come after him. Our interest is in sharing our Father and Lord’s point of view, not the point of view of those who come after him and are neither our Creator nor our Lord. We seek glory, honor and immortality in sharing the Spirit of our Father and all of his children. Jesus Christ means everything to us as the exact representation of the God who is our life. We have nothing in common with those who think differently.
